New Zealand-based photographer Charles Brooks has encompassed the classical music industry completely. From photographing classical musicians to capturing the insides of actual classic musical instruments — Brooks portraits are always unique. The photos are dramatic yet light in the way that he plays with sunlight and shadows, while still focusing on the photography subject. Besides shooting, Brooks has himself been an active member of the music community, playing the cello for well over two decades.
Brooks has collaborated with film and photography pioneers, SYRP lab, and was amongst the first to try Panasonic Lumix flagship camera in 2018.
