Chen Man

As China's first world-renowned female fashion photographer, Chen Man has created her own spiritual revolution by changing China’s face for the western world. In 2003, at the age of 23 and still a student at Central Academy of Fine Arts, Man got an assignment by Shanghai-based design and art Magazine Vision to create a series of covers. With these covers, she inspired a new generation of artists who wished to combine old Chinese sensibilities with modern techniques to create art. Man's hyper-realistic techniques distinctive style, often displaying a bold, colourful and surreal atmosphere that leaves a strong impression on viewers, soon made other fashion magazines stand in line for her services. Today, Man is considered both a visual artist, working with graphic design, cinematography and digital art, and a world-class fashion photographer.

Among her many assignments, her work for Lady Dior has attracted a lot of attention, as well as her portraits of Chinese actress and singer Fan Bingbing.
