In 1948, the then 26-years old photographer Lennart Nilsson, together with reporter Svante Löfgren, got an assignment for the American agency Black Star to go to Congo. Their two months stay resulted in a dozen reportages published in magazines worldwide, among the Life, with whom he formed a long-lasting collaboration.  The images showed a part of the world almost invisible and neglected by the western magazines and forever changed the perception of the African continent.
This image depicts ”jungle photographer” Mayola Amici, who lived in a small village outside Stanleytown.

The poster is printed on Galerie Art Matt, 200g, a high-coated matt paper with non-reflective surface and optimal image reproduction, with FSC-certification.
