By many regarded foremost as a scientific photographer, Nilsson had a much wider range, from documentary and press to nature photography and portraits. In 1959, Swedish circus company Cirkus Scott came to the town of Västerås, a big happening at the time. Nilsson took days preparing his shot, letting the circus rebuild the entire location, placing the animals in dedicated, chalk-drawn squares.
The jugglers are juggling. The camels are posing. The trapeze artist strikes a somersault high above the orchestra's heads while two clowns balance on a ladder. In the background, eight horses trot in a circle in this perfect frame of a second, capturing the essence of a traveling circus. The life of a traveling circus, captured in frame of a second.

The poster is printed on Galerie Art Matt, 200g, a high-coated matt paper with non-reflective surface and optimal image reproduction, with FSC-certification.
